If you are interested in any of the following serving opportunities, please contact the office, or the named person for the respective group.

The purpose of the Prayer Support Group is to ensure that prayer is at the centre of what the Church does and to inspire the prayer life of the Church. Prayer takes place in many of the groups in the fellowship, at Sunday services and by individuals. The fellowship is informed of prayer needs through the bulletin, monthly prayer diary, at Sunday services and through the prayer email chain.

Prayer Ministry offer prayer to anyone who so desires for any reason following our Sunday worship. Members of the prayer ministry team can be identified from their Prayer Ministry badge.

We believe that the role of the AV team is to ensure that everyone can hear, see and participate in praise. Those operating the Audio and Visual equipment are aiming to enable the congregation to fully hear the musicians, singers, those who lead the service, offer prayer and teach us and to see words for the hymns and songs, Bible readings, and other visuals to help facilitate our learning. We would love to have more people on the AV team, so if this is a way in which you think you could serve, please contact Alistair McKinlay.

The banner group designs and makes new banners for our Church. If you would be interested in joining this group or finding out more information, please contact Christine Pennells.

As a group of singers and musicians, the band seeks to serve God in helping our friends (those within the congregation and those listening to the CDs at home) to lift their hearts and voices to Him in praise and worship. We meet in the Sanctuary on Thursday evenings from 7.30- 8.45pm. After a short time of prayer we practise the songs and hymns for the following Sunday. It would be great to have more members. If you are interested in joining the band as a musician or singer, please contact Rhona McKinlay.

The BMS Birthday Card Scheme is run through the Baptist Missionary Society. This money helps support all the valuable work BMS and its local partners do in poorer countries and its ability to provide relief for those caught up in natural disasters. The BMS “Globes” can be used as containers for all your small change. All donations received from these are sent to BMS twice a year to finance their work overseas. New members are always welcome for both kinds of fund-raising. To join either scheme, or to find out more, just ask Gillian Hall – or pick up a leaflet from the noticeboard in the Hall. You will receive a box or a card (hopefully in time for your birthday) and then it is up to you – all donations are kept private – although taxpayers can sign Gift Aid forms to enable BMS to reclaim an additional 25% of the donation from your tax – at no extra cost to you.

With the Samaritan's Purse Shoebox appeal, there are opportunities to donate or make items throughout the year. These are then packed in Shoeboxes which the charity Samaritan’s Purse distribute at Christmas time to those who are in need. For more information about what Samaritan’s Purse does, go to their website If you would like to get involved, please contact Gillian Hall.
